MR. PREM BAJAJ, CMD – Bhadra International India Limited
As he matured into a young
entrepreneur with a tremendous drive, he became famous in his circle as someone
who turns impossibles into possibles. A visionary by nature to begin with, he
always thought “big”, and never looked back.
Mr. Prem Bajaj is founder
Director of Bhadra International India Limited, a highly professional Company
which has been awarded the rights for “Ground Handling Services” for seven
airports by Airports Authority of India.
Mr Prem Bajaj ventured into
Ground Handling business at the Indian airports that until recently were
shoddy, shabby, dangerous for the workers apart from causing serious security
hazards. Mr. Bajaj lived up to his
reputation and rose to the occasion and showed the Nation how to “go green” at
the airports. Bhadra invested over 100 million dollars to import the
state-of-the-art battery operated equipment for handling the cargo at the
airports, a step that will go a long way to show Indian entrepreneurs that it
is indeed possible to “go green” at the Indian airports.
Today, under his exemplary leadership, Bhadra International (India) Limited, has grown into a highly professional Company. Concerned authorities in India have also acknowledged that the Aircraft Ground Handling Operations at all seven airports managed by Bhadra have come of age and are in keeping with the Best Worldwide. On its part, Bhadra is committed to continue and make India proud by bringing a sea change in the conduct of providing Comprehensive Ground Handling Services at Indian airports.
A nationalist to the core, the
country had also recognized and honored Mr. Prem Bajaj. He had been nominated
by the Government of India on numerous important Boards and Trusts. Some of
these included his nomination as a Board Member on the Board of Paradeep and
Kandla Port Trusts, Director on National Highway Authority of India, etc. A philanthropic to the core, Mr. Bajaj is an
active member and contributor to various charitable institutions in India.

For Bhadra International India Limited Corporate Responsibility goes well beyond its official work.
Ever since it
commenced its Ground Handling Operations at airports in Southern Region of
India, M/s Bhadra International India Limited
have ensured that it abides by its motto of providing “Environment Friendly
Services”. It has even gone to the
extent of importing most sophisticated state-of-the-Art battery operated
equipment that is “Environment Friendly” at considerable cost for use at all
airports. Its activities ever since have
gone well beyond its equipment holding.
As an example,
let’s take you to Calicut International Airport, where each company worker was
provided with a tree sapling to plant to enhance environment friendliness.
As another
unique example of the company’s efforts to service Mankind, Bhadra
International has recently undertaken Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at
Calicut which was inaugurated by none other than Shri J.P. Alex, the current
Airport Director. Each worker is now
fully aware of his “Blood Group” not only for purposes of mandatory company’s
records but also as the ready reckoner for District Cooperative Hospital for
future use. The company has taken a
deliberate decision to donate all its “Blood Donation” to District Cooperative
Hospital only so that its usage won’t go commercial
As another
example of its “Contributions to Society and Mankind”, the company has chosen
to help a local Old Age Home in Calicut aptly called “Sneha Bhawan”. Instead of discarding their old uniforms
while they are still wearable, the workers are encouraged to recycle them by
donating them to some charitable institutions.
It was under this policy that after removing the insignias, the Bhadra International Ground support staff uniforms were
distributed to this Old Age Home.
All the above
are some typical examples of how for Bhadra International India Limited
the Corporate Responsibilities go well beyond its normal day-to-day functions.

BHADRA STAFF DOES IT PROUD
Well before it started
its full fledged Ground Handling Operations at Chennai, Kolkata and other
airports in the Southern Region, Bhadra Management had realized and appreciated
that in any “Service Industry”, what plays the most important and significant
role is THE MAN BEHIND THE MACHINE. Accordingly, unlike some other
Service Providers in the industry, other than the National Carrier, who still
resort to using the outsourced Manpower on make shift basis, Bhadra left no
stone unturned in selecting the right man for the right job, on its permanent
pay roll. This was followed by the most rigorous training at the
company’s state-of-art training establishment. These men behind the
machines, who are highly motivated and efficient have already started bringing
laurels to the company.

In yet
another incident, on the night of 06 November 2012 whilst the Bhadra staff was
busy in its normal handling activities at Number-1 International Cargo
Warehouse at Chennai, there was an electric short circuit and consequent
fire that could have resulted in a major disaster. Spontaneous action and
initiative by none other than one of Bhadra’s “Handyman on Duty” in
extinguishing the fire proved beyond doubt that the “Time and Money” invested
by the company on its staff has not gone waste.
This is just the beginning and we at Bhadra are confident that our Motivated Team
Members will continue to do us proud in times to come.
